If you’re going to buy exactly one yoga mat deal all year, Black Friday is the one. I’ve never seen another sales event come close to the depth of discounting that happens between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The data bears this out: over the last three years, every single yoga mat brand I track hit its all-time low price during Black Friday weekend. Every single one.
This guide covers what happened during Black Friday 2025, what I expect for Black Friday 2026, and — most importantly — how to position yourself to get the deal you want before inventory disappears. Because at these prices, inventory does disappear.
Black Friday 2025: The Numbers
Let’s start with the receipts. Here’s what each major yoga mat sold for during Black Friday 2025 (Friday through Monday):
Manduka PRO — $82 (All-Time Low)
This is the number that still makes people’s eyes widen when I mention it. The Manduka PRO, a mat with a $140 MSRP and a lifetime guarantee, sold for $82. That’s 41% off. I bought two — one as a gift, one as a backup — and they were gone from Amazon by Saturday afternoon. Manduka’s own website matched at $84 with a code, and they included a free eQua hand towel.
The Manduka PRO has hit $82 exactly once, and it was Black Friday 2025. Prior years were $89 (2024) and $95 (2023). The trend line suggests $79-$84 for 2026, which would be another all-time low if it breaks $82. I’ll have more context in my Manduka yoga mat review.
Manduka eKO 5mm — $48
The natural rubber eKO line is Manduka’s second tier, and $48 for the 5mm version versus an $88 MSRP is a 45% discount. The eKO mats don’t carry the lifetime warranty of the PRO but are a great option if you want natural rubber grip without the PRO’s price tag. Even at full price, this mat is solid — at $48 it’s an outright steal.
Jade Harmony Professional — $58
Jade’s flagship mat hit $58 on Black Friday 2025, down from a $95 MSRP. That’s 39% off, and it’s the best Jade deal I’ve ever seen. Jade also ran a bundle on their site: mat plus two cork blocks for $75 total. If you were already going to buy blocks, that bundle was the smarter play. Jade Travel Mat — $28
The travel version of the Harmony dropped to $28 from $42 MSRP. At that price, I recommend buying one even if you don’t travel — it’s the mat I keep in my car for spontaneous outdoor sessions.
Liforme Original — $119
This was the biggest Liforme discount I’ve ever tracked. The Original, which sells for $160 (and sometimes $170 for limited edition colors), dropped to $119 during their Black Friday sale. That’s 26% off. Liforme ran this on their own site only, with a unique code sent to newsletter subscribers. If you weren’t on their email list, you didn’t get the code until Sunday, by which time several colors were sold out. Lululemon The Mat 5mm — $64
Lululemon’s Black Friday pricing on The Mat was aggressive in 2025: $64, down from $88. That’s 27% off on a mat that rarely goes below $74. Lululemon ran this on their own site with free shipping and free returns. Their sale section also had Reversible Mats in discontinued colors at $48-$54. Gaiam Premium 6mm — $11.99
At $11.99 from an MSRP of $30, this is a 60% discount. I’ve seen Gaiam mats go lower during flash Lightning Deals, but $11.99 is the consistent Black Friday floor. Gaiam also sold a two-pack of their Essentials mats for $16.99 on Amazon. If you have a home practice space and want a mat for a partner or roommate, that two-pack deal was hard to beat.
BalanceFrom 1/2” Thick — $9.99
At under $10, BalanceFrom essentially gave away their thick mat on Black Friday. The quality matches the price — don’t expect this to be your forever mat — but for a cushion mat under a better mat, or for kids, or for stretching after runs, it’s impossible to complain about a $10 mat.

Where to Buy During Black Friday: Amazon vs. Brand Websites
This is the most common strategic question I get, and the answer varies by brand. Here’s my breakdown:
Manduka: Check Both, Buy on Brand Site If Tied
Manduka’s own website is surprisingly competitive with Amazon on Black Friday. In 2025, Manduka.com offered the PRO at $84 — $2 more than Amazon’s $82 — but they included a free eQua towel ($24 value) and free shipping. Net value: Manduka.com won.
Manduka also uses Black Friday to push bundle deals that Amazon can’t match. Mat plus block plus towel bundles typically save another 10-15% compared to buying items separately. If you need more than just a mat, check Manduka’s site first.
The one advantage Amazon has over Manduka.com: speed and Prime shipping. Manduka’s warehouse gets swamped during Black Friday, and shipping can take 7-10 days versus 1-2 from Amazon. If you need the mat quickly (gift deadline, starting a class), Amazon wins.
Liforme: Brand Site Only
I’ll say it again: Liforme does not have an official Amazon storefront. The Black Friday Liforme deals only happen on Liforme’s website. Period. Any Liforme you see on Amazon with a Black Friday deal is either counterfeit or a third-party reseller marking up a used mat. Don’t risk it.
The Liforme Black Friday strategy is: get on their email list by November 1st, wait for the early access code around November 20-22, and buy within the first 24 hours before popular colors sell out. Their AlignForMe Warrior colorway sold out in under 12 hours last year.
Jade: Amazon Usually Beats Brand Site
Jade’s own website typically offers 15-20% off during Black Friday, which is solid. But Amazon’s Jade pricing almost always goes deeper. In 2025, Jade’s site had the Harmony at $72 (24% off MSRP) while Amazon had it at $58 (39% off MSRP). The exception: Jade’s site runs multi-item bundles that Amazon doesn’t, so if you need blocks, a strap, or a mat cleaner, the bundle math can flip in Jade’s site’s favor.
Lululemon: Brand Site Always
Lululemon treats Black Friday as a major event and their site offers free shipping on everything, easy returns, and their “We Made Too Much” section gets a significant expansion. Lululemon’s Amazon presence is inconsistent and pricing never beats their own site during Black Friday. Go direct.
Gaiam: Amazon Wins on Price, Brand Site on Selection
Gaiam’s Amazon prices on Black Friday are aggressive — $11.99 for the Premium, $9.99 for the Essentials. Gaiam’s own site runs 25-30% off, which is good but doesn’t beat Amazon’s Black Friday-specific pricing. However, Gaiam’s site carries exclusive patterns and colors that Amazon doesn’t stock, so if you’re particular about aesthetics, check both.
Black Friday Strategy: The 5-Day Approach
I’ve refined my Black Friday yoga mat strategy over several years. Here’s the playbook:
Monday Before Black Friday: Finalize Your Target List
Don’t go into Black Friday with vague intentions like “maybe I’ll get a nice mat.” Decide exactly which mat you want — brand, model, thickness, color preference. Write it down. Have a backup pick in case your first choice sells out at your target price. I keep a Notes file on my phone with:
- Primary target: Manduka PRO 6mm, Black, under $85
- Backup target: Jade Harmony 5mm, Midnight Blue, under $62

Thursday (Thanksgiving): Scout Early Deals
Many brands launch their Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving evening rather than Friday morning. Manduka typically goes live around 6 PM Eastern on Thanksgiving. Lululemon and Liforme often activate their discount codes at midnight. I check brand sites at 5 PM, 8 PM, and 11 PM on Thanksgiving. Some of the best deals don’t make it to Friday morning because inventory gets claimed Thursday night.
Friday (Black Friday): Execute and Move Fast
This is execution mode. My Friday morning routine:
- Check Amazon at 3 AM Eastern (when many Lightning Deals activate)
- Check brand sites at 7 AM Eastern
- Compare prices between Amazon and brand sites for my target mats
- Buy whichever one hits my target price at the best total value
- Verify order confirmation and screenshot it
- Wait 30 minutes, then check for the “stretch buy” if I have budget left
I do not browse. I do not get distracted by other categories. I have a list, I execute against it, and I’m done by 8 AM. The people who get the best deals are the ones who move fastest.

The key difference: Cyber Monday deals tend to be site-wide percentage-off codes rather than product-specific discounts. If a brand runs “20% off everything” on Cyber Monday, that includes mats plus anything else you need — blocks, straps, towels, bolsters. If you need to outfit a home practice space, Cyber Monday’s blanket discounts can be more valuable than Black Friday’s product-specific Lightning Deals.
What About the Pre-Black Friday Sales?
Here’s something I learned the hard way: every year, Amazon and big retailers run “Early Black Friday” or “Black Friday Preview” sales starting in late October or early November. These are almost never as good as the real thing. In 2025, Amazon ran an “Early Black Friday” on Manduka PRO at $98. A lot of people bought it, thinking the Friday deal wouldn’t be much better. Two weeks later it was $82. Don’t fall for the preview sales unless you absolutely, positively need the mat immediately.
The one exception: REI’s pre-Black Friday sale (usually the two weeks before Thanksgiving) is worth watching. REI doesn’t participate in Black Friday (they close all stores and halt online sales on Black Friday as part of their Opt Outside campaign), so their pre-Black Friday sale is their actual Black Friday event. I’ve seen good REI deals on Jade mats and their own REI Co-op mat during this window.
After You Buy: Post-Black Friday Checklist
If you purchased during Black Friday, do this before you forget:
Inspect immediately. Black Friday inventory moves fast and sometimes gets roughed up in the warehouse rush. Unroll the mat the day it arrives. Look for surface irregularities, cuts, uneven thickness, or strong chemical odors that suggest the mat was stored improperly. Black Friday return windows are generous (most retailers extend returns through January), but you want to flag issues early.
Check that you got the right item. I ordered a Manduka PRO during Black Friday 2023 and received a Manduka eKO in a PRO box. Simple warehouse mistake, quickly corrected — but only because I opened the box within 48 hours and alerted customer service.
Donate or sell your old mat. Upgraded to a new mat on Black Friday? Your old mat doesn’t need to gather dust. Offer it to a friend who’s curious about yoga, donate it to a community center, or use it as a cushion layer under your new mat.
